Where do they live?
They live all over North and South America, Antarctica, The Arctic, and parts of Europe.
Diet
- Seabirds, krill, squid, octopus, sea turtles, sharks, rays, fish, seals, sea lions, walruses, sea otters, penguins, even the much larger baleen whales!
Size
- Male mass : 3,600-5,400 kg (large adult)

- Male orcas can only live 17 years in captivity while females can live up to 29 years in captivity. Wild orcas can live up to 80 years.
Adaptations
- The greatest adaptation of the orca is to cooperate and hunt in groups called pods.
- They can hunt a wider variety of animals because of the adaptations of its teeth.
- Orcas adapted to swim up to 45 kph but usually swims at 13 kph.
- Orcas adapted to dive up to 100 m but usually don’t dive deep.
